Course details
Open cast is an exciting way to start creating relief and three dimensional forms in glass. In this three day masterclass you will learn open casting, mould making, and cold working skills, and the kiln firing schedules to complete this process. Your open cast piece can be slumped to create a bowl or sculptural form. This masterclass over three days includes all tools, equipment, materials and firings. Suitable for all levels. Amy Whittington is an artist who specialises in mould making for glass. Based in Devon, she creates cast glass jewellery and sculpture, and teaches at Plymouth College of Art.
