A practical introduction to Linda’s work with examples, demonstrations and practical application throughout the course. Make a semi relief ‘triptych’ that explores the substance qualities of clay and unorthodox decorative techniques that Linda has developed over her thirty plus years of practice. Over three Saturdays in November and December you will explore: Forming and assembling, 'limbering up' sketching in clay, first surface application and obscure /reveal detail. Formal construction methods combined with unorthodox ways of seeing and doing. Assemblage methodology to achieve an interesting surface dynamic. Slip application enabling you to experiment in the form of underlay/overlay, line drawing with sharps. Infusing with oxides suspended in water, blending, wax resist. Photographing work and record keeping. Glaze and vitrified slip application. Glaze technology. Precious metals, coloured glaze, lustres and decal application. Detailing focal points with precious metals, pearlized lustres, onglaze brights and decals. All materials, firings and lunch included. The course runs 10am to 4pm Saturday 23rd November, Saturday 7th December and Saturday 14th December. The course fee includes all three days.

We can't offer refunds for courses and classes booked, but if, for any reason, you can't attend the whole course your booking can be transferred to a future course or a voucher can be issued to be used at a later date.
