Wire to Wear: an introduction to designing and making earrings This one-day introductory course offers participants the opportunity to explore the creative possibilities of wire jewellery through the design and making of a pair of unique earrings. Using copper wire as a preparatory material, students will investigate a range of techniques for manipulating wire and developing form before translating selected designs into silver. Through demonstrations, experimentation, sketching, and practical making, you will gain an understanding of design considerations, tool use, and the processes involved in creating handmade jewellery. The course will also introduce the making of bespoke findings, enabling each participant to complete a pair of earrings that reflect your individual design choices. You'll have a finished pair of unique silver earrings ready to take home with you at the end of the session. All tools and materials provided. £120 or £80 for Create Members.
