We are absolutely thrilled to be hosting Camborne's first Streetdraw 24 (https://www.streetdraw24.com/).
Everyone is welcome!
This 24 hour community drawing event invites you to explore and connect with Camborne through fresh eyes, draw from the streets and get involved in a series of exciting drawing workshops around the town.
Submit your drawings from the day to Create Contemporary Crafts Hub, to be sold at our exhibition running from 10th October (World Homeless Day) through to the 14th. All money from the sales will be donated to St Petrocs (https://www.stpetrocs.org.uk/) a charity supporting those experiencing  homelessness in Cornwall. We will be open from 12:00 - 18:00 on Friday, & 10:00-12:00 on Saturday for drawings to be handed in.

Join us at Create to learn more about the motivation behind Streetdraw 24, who Create CIC is and be introduced to our Neurodivergent Friendly Sensory Space.
12:30 - 16:00 Neurodivergent Friendly Sensory Space Self Expression in reaction to Sensory Experience

Come and react to the town of Camborne in a space designed for artistic exploration. A space to create and respond to Camborne however you want. A place to express your artistic voice with no judgement and no rigid structure. Inspiration in the form of sound, texture, photography and prompts will be available for you to respond to. Limited materials will be available including Cardboard and post it notes to draw on and Pencils to draw with but please bring whatever materials you feel most comfortable with.
This space is intentionally Neurodivergent friendly but all neurotypes are welcome in the space. Created in collaboration with The Autistic Community of Cornwall (https://www.theautisticcommunityofcornwall.org/)and James Osborn (creator of Nanook the Bipolarbear, outsider artist, Autistic human (https://www.instagram.com/nanookbipolarbear/?hl=en)).
14:00 - 16:00 Allotment Draw ****Meet at the entrance of Enys Road Allotments, Eastern Ln, Camborne TR14 8TX****
Take a wander around Camborne Town allotments alongside the allotment secretary Val. Get inspired by all manner of wonderful plants and vegetables you can grow in your own garden, and scope out some seriously impressive handmade sheds, chicken coops and scarecrows! Take a perch wherever strikes your interest and get doodling.
14:00 - 16:00 Library Draw for Children ****Meet at Camborne Library, Basset Rd, Camborne TR14 8SL****
Join artist Lois Jones to draw some of Camborne's historic buildings. Experiment with acetate and layering to get creative with what you see.
The library needs you! Help them to brainstorm how your dream library would look and contribute to the renovation of the Basset Centre.

If you've stopped by Create recently, there's no way you've not seen our seriously impressive new loos! The Community Mosaic 'LifeBlood' was led and largely created by mosaic artist Alec Rice (https://www.falmouthpacket.co.uk/.../23552611.camborne.../)
Join Alec for a wander along part of The Red River, this is an opportunity to hear more about the social, industrial and natural history of Camborne, get inspired and settle down for a draw by the river. Wrapped up with a community bbq.

As a thank you for all of your donated drawings, we will be hosting a Community BBQ at Tuckinghill Valley Conservation Park, sponsored by Chicpea. Join us for some delicious fresh Lebanese food.Â
Streetdraw is an event that you do, your way.
Get involved with as much or as little as you want. Fancy some company? Come join one of our scheduled draws. More of a lone wolf? Head out to the streets of Camborne and get scribbling whatever takes your fancy.
