Building Works And Christmas Workshops!

Studio, workshops and kiln firings

Funded places for Clay Time Play Time and Seize the Clay after school sessions have been oversubscribed! Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Summer Crowdfunder which made this happen! Students have been learning how to hand build using the slab construction technique and are creating their own masterpieces to take home at the end of term.

We will be pausing all workshops, courses and classes in the new year while building works commence, ready to start again in the summer term, however we will still be offering a kiln firing service and studio time sessions where you can work on your own projects in clay and fused glass. Contact Jane for details.

Christmas Workshops

There are still places left on our Christmas workshops - come and make your porcelain or fused glass decorations, or a unique piece of silver jewellery for yourself or a loved one. Book on the website or email to reserve your place.

On Saturday 10 December between 12noon and 3pm pop in to pick up your work, have a drink and a mince pie, and collect a special handmade present from us! You'll also be able to see the plans for our renovations, and the work the builders have done so far! All welcome.

Funding and Building Works

We were thrilled to find out that we were successful in our bid to CLLD for European Regional Development Funding funding for phase one of our renovation works. This will include the creation of a creative co-working space and community crafts library, new accessible toilets, and an entrance and exhibition space.

The builders started on site this week and have started removing old plaster and drying out the walls in the library. It's exciting to watch their progress and see what they reveal in the old walls. Even though we'll be closed for courses for three months in the new year you can follow our building works progress on social media.

We're looking forward to seeing you on Saturday 10 December for presents and mince pies!
