Exciting new glass and jewellery courses!

Fused Glass Pendants and Beads in different colours and sizes

Gorgeous glass!

Fusing, colouring, bending, cutting, and drilling to form amazing glass jewellery, bowls, sculptures, and window hangers to your own design. Learn these techniques and more in our wonderful glass studio! Running on Monday afternoons, our five week course will give you a perfect grounding in working in glass, giving you the skills you need to explore this unique and fascinating material.

And if you've some experience in fused glass and have your own ideas for projects but haven't the space or equipment, then our studio time sessions on Monday mornings are just what you need. Our expert tutors are on hand to assist and advise, and the cost includes firing of the piece you're working on in the session.

Three Fused Glass Plates

New Glass Courses!

Learn the art of drawing with glass! Develop your own designs using printing, stenciling, sgrafitto, and freehand to create individual glass bowls, dishes, and platters. This course is suitable for complete beginners, and for those with more experience who would like to explore different ways of working with glass. Our new small group Glass Powder Drawing course runs on Thursday afternoons for four weeks.

And our new Glass Jewellery Meets Metal course gives you the opportunity to work with fused glass and metal together to create beautiful pieces of jewellery. On this four week course, running on Thursday mornings, you will gain the skills to make unique glass pieces and combine them with small metals to make jump rings and pendents.

Trevithick Day at CREATE

The highlight of the Camborne social calendar, this year Trevithick Day is on Saturday 29 April and at Create CIC we're opening our doors 10am to 4pm for you to come and get involved. Try our cogs and wheels card making, transform a boring old jam jar into a beautiful storage vessel using etching techniques, and see how our wonderful Donald Thomas Centre building is being transformed. We'll be open from 10am until 4pm so pop by and say hello! All for FREE (donations welcome!)

From Monday 24 April we'll be open four days a week Monday to Thursday 10am to 4pm (to 8:30pm on Tuesdays), plus the occasional Saturday, so please feel free to pop by and say hello. Check the website and follow us on social media for updates on events, courses, open studio time, kiln hire, and of course the building works.
