Winter courses announced!

Our programme of winter courses, running for six weeks in November and December, are now open to book on our website.

Starting on Monday 1st November Helen will be running Introduction to Fused Glass, a fun and friendly course to learn how to explore different ways to manipulate glass into creative forms. You will start with the basics of health and safety, firing and working with different kinds of glass, and go on to develop skills in cutting, hanging, relief, bending and patterns.

Jane will be running Introduction to Ceramics Hand Building starting on Tuesday 2nd November. If you're a complete beginner, or want to improve or refresh your skills, join this six week course to learn the basics of hand building with clay. You will work with pinch, coil and slab construction, and with various methods of decoration including texture, oxides, slip, sgraffito, marbling and glazing.

Both courses run in the afternoon from 2-4pm and again in the evening from 6-8pm, so you can sign up for whichever suits you better. All tools and materials are included and you get to take home your unique works of art at the end!

Mugs, jugs and window hangers!

Hand build your own mug, jug or cup. The choice is yours! Decorate with slip, scraffito and texture. Collect your finished piece, all glazed and ready to use, within a fortnight.

Make your own decorative fused glass window hanger using coloured glass, frit, confetti and inclusions. Collect your finished piece, all fired and ready to hang, within a fortnight.
